excellent lighter, accidently bought one a couple of months ago, i’m gonna hate when the battery fails in it because I haven’t seen another one to buy.They are really “frozen fingers” friendly.

Great lighter, lasts a long time, deep well.

For all the people b*tching about it not lighting, do what Raj says- check the white plug on the bottom. If it is not completely in place (flat, and positioned so the word “FILL” is completely exposed) the safety mechanism kicks in to stop it from lighting.

This is what SM was referring to when he wrote “Furthermore, when that little plastic thingie is moved over to expose the filler port the lighter is locked and prevented from firing its piezo igniter.”

Walgreen’s online presently has them.

I love these lighters. I remember buying my first one (green) about a year ago. After using it awhile, I realized all of the benefits mentioned by everyone above. After having trouble finding any stores that sold these lighters I found them at a local pharmacy and stocked up. I enjoy refilling these lighters to continue the use. I still use my first green one to this day. I frequently use hookahs and appreciate not burning my fingers when I am lighting a charcoal.

My favorite lighter of all time!!! After 5 yrs the slider stoped working but i have to say it is an amazing lighter!! Lasted a long time and now im looking to purchase a new one. Im so impressed!!!

I got one at Wal-Mart in TN about a week ago. I really like it too. I use it like crazy. The only thing is that it sometimes won’t light if the tab on the bottom (where you refill) is off just a little bit and it moves (just a little bit) very easily.

I was tired of getting a sore thumb from the wheel on the standard butane disposable lighters– then I found this lighter, and fell in love– I went out and bought five more of them, as my friends all wanted one. I found most refuelable disposables could be re-charged once or twice, but then the valve would fail. I have re-charged slide lighter six times so far, and it still works great. Went to buy some more of them, but could not find more.
