May Day
Well, much like how Earth Day was planned purposely or inadvertently to fall on Lenin’s birthday; today, May first, was a pretty poor day to pick to show the rest of the United States the importance of immigrant labor.
May Day, or International Workers’ Day has a long history of being associated with socialism.
I’ll quote Wikipedia again:
Gee, way to win middle America over, eh?
From the WaPo:
I’ve got a more substantial post on illegal immigration, workers rights and related stuff, but I keep editing it. I’ll likely post that shortly.

Well, I did stop by my local “FoodieWay”, which is the nice international grocery store nearby. I love it because everything that is normally hard to find at the local grocery store is dirt cheap there (although everyday items are usually expensive).

As you can see, in a display of solidarity or something, they closed up at 4:00pm. I went to the Shoppers Food Whorehouse next door.

Sam Says :
I recollect when African Americans protested, for equality and the right to vote, they were arrested. Now you have Latinos marching and protesting for the right to come over here, illegally and for us to shut up and take it. I am a Democrat and African American and I am against anyone coming here illegally. If it is so important for them to come here and work, then do it legally. Don’t fool yourself, how in the world are they paying taxes, if we don’t even know they are here? No one is saying you can’t come and/or stay here legally. Get over it, you must follow the same rule and laws like everyone else.

I actually have some sympathy for the undocumented worker/illegal alien, but I am not at all happy to see women groped, shoes x-rayed, and nail clippers stolen in an attempt to fight terror in this country, while letting the border sit nearly undefended.
