This theme looks fine on my browser at full screen width. (Firefox on KDE) The problem I’m having is this, you should be able to grab your right window edge and pull it over to the left. As the width of your window collapses, the text should dynamically re-paginate to keep the main column readable. At some point, the sidebar should disappear or relocate to the bottom of the screen. The blog should stay readable (at least the main content) until the width is unreasonably tiny.

I’ve looked at your theme and it has the same problem. Your’s works OK until the big gray empty spaces on the side disappear. Then your blog does the exact same thing mine does with a scroll bar on the bottom.

Most of the themes offered now with WP 2.1.1 are suited for all browsers; you merely need a fixed width setting rather than a flexible, then text and pictures will be sized automatically.

Pi, I’m not real happy about my theme. I’m just having a tough time finding or writing my own that reacts with any common sense to different people’s browser window widths.

I have not jumped on the 2.1 bandwagon because the initial release of 2.0 was extra bonus buggy. I intend to transfer soon.

Thanks for the feedback on the theme. It’s always nice to know if you are annoying the piss out of your readers.

It’s worth upgrading to WordPress 2.1.1 rather than sticking with the older 2.0 series. That may mean that your theme is outdated, but since it doesn’t fit on a large monitor and anyone wishing to see the right sidebar must scroll across, that wouldn’t be too much of a problem.
