		<description>That&#039;s not the entire picture. They just are not very good at predicting the track and speed of a storm, which makes a big difference in total accumulation. 

However, I think they&#039;re also unwilling to say a prediction that will cover all the bases. If you listen to the one radio station I do on my commute, in the last 24 hours, they&#039;ve predicted 8 to 30 inches of snow. (Not in the same hour of course.)</description>

Rain is easy to predict because a consistent amount of water forms rain drops.  Snow, as you&#039;ve discovered, can vary highly in moisture content.  So, your meteorologists predicted snowfall based on much more wet snowdrops, and they ended up wrong.</description>
